The 2022 edition of FM’s Senior Dining Power Players is designed to provide a review of the dining amenities available on the campuses of the 25 largest single-site senior living communities in the U.S. As the country emerges from the COVID pandemic and with vaccination rates particularly high among the elderly, senior living communities are generally returning to normal operations, which means operating fully accessible dining outlets and putting a renewed emphasis on providing quality, diverse and healthy dining options throughout the day.
One concession to the pandemic experience most communities continue to embrace is a robust take-away and meal delivery service to residents from some or all of the onsite dining locations. However, a craving for social contact seems to be driving a lot of in-person dining as well as renewed social activities at most communities.
The 2022 Senior Dining Power Players are listed in order of total number of independent living and assisted living units plus nursing care beds taken from the 2022 LeadingAge/Ziegler 200 list of the Nation’s 150 Largest Not-for-Profit Senior Living Communities (registration required to access). Individual community profiles and data on dining outlets was compiled by FM.
